FPG published two new reports that outlines the state-of-the-art technologies used by the Manufacturing Programme members to prevent and reduce PFAS emissions to air and water. They examine techniques including filtration, scrubbers, activated carbon, membrane treatment and thermal oxidation, alongside the management of captured substances and waste streams.

This is our Technology Exchange Platform in action: participating manufacturers sharing practical knowledge on commercially available technologies while respecting company confidentiality.

The reports form part of the manufacturing programme that met its first emissions targets at the end of 2024 and is working towards more stringent targets for 2030. They can help inform the EU PFAS restriction process and the potential development of a fluoropolymer-specific BREF under the Industrial Emissions Directive.
